Remembering John Reimer
In respect for the man who made the Lotus Pond bloom, this Saturday, August 15th anytime between the hours of 12:30 pm- 3:30 pm, you are invited to bring a native flower seedling or wildflower seeds to plant in John's back garden.
We will also be hosting a virtual Service for John Reimer via Zoom on Aug 16, 2020 at 06:30 PM EST. Meeting ID: 863 0016 0426 / Passcode: 370043 |
John was the kind of person we are all so grateful we knew.
One of those big personalities that left everyone with a story or memory worth sharing. He had this ability to make everyone feel seen and heard. Full of joy and incredibly present, when he spoke it was as if the chaos of the world (especially the chaos of 2020) was paused and all that mattered was you. He had this grounding, unflappable presence that brought a smile to your face with every interaction. The most beautiful part of John though was his complete devotion and service to both Val and the Pond. Losing him is a tremendous loss, both to her and our community, and will take time to heal and regroup. Through that process, we want his legacy of kindness and service to live on. In his honor we are asking for those that can to join us in sharing a personal anecdote about him, as well our GoFundMe that was created to support Val with final and related costs. |

Please use #LotusPondJohn and tag the Lotus Pond in your post so we can enjoy and share your stories with all of our students and celebrate his life and legacy. This year we are reminded again and again the importance of community, of support, and of service. Thank you to everyone who has been reaching out with offers to help and words of love. We appreciate it more than you know. Together we will heal. |
